Just Liberty Incorporated brings practical technology to a personal conviction: people deserve a meaningful chance to understand and participate in the systems that affect their lives.
WHERE IT BEGAN
A legal problem. A technical background. A question that stayed.
Representing himself in court, Joshua Abrams turned to law libraries, read the rules, and worked through the demands of preparing his own filings. His experience made the gap between having rights and knowing how to use them tangible.
With a background in IT and systems thinking, he began building the tools he wanted to have: a way to organize records, understand unfamiliar steps, and prepare more clearly.
Just Liberty grew from that work. It is the organization behind JustLegal, the Just Politics civic project, and Just Media.
What would have made this easier for the next person?
THE QUESTION THAT GUIDES THE WORK
THE WORK
Practical ways to lower the barriers.
Legal learning and case preparation. Civic exploration. Public-interest writing. Each project approaches the mission from a different direction, with its own tools and identity.
Liberty, Joshua's rescue dog, is part of the story and the inspiration behind the name. Her place here is a reminder that the work has a human beginning.
