What the preparation tools organize

For potential False Claims Act matters, JustLegal OS brings together provider and funding references, evidence provenance, a chronological record, and SHA-256 exhibit manifests. The published JustLegal Standard v1.0 includes a six-element Rule 9(b) readiness rubric for independent counsel review.

For civil consultations, the tools organize the procedural history, relevant documents, questions for counsel, and Bates-stamped exhibits. A clearer record helps an attorney assess the scope of a consultation or a limited engagement.

Professional independence and engagement

Attorneys decide whether to accept a matter and independently assess its facts, deadlines, and legal merits. Just Liberty is a 501(c)(3) technology and education nonprofit, not a law firm. An inquiry does not create a partnership, referral agreement, or attorney-client relationship.

Any referral charges or sponsorship arrangement must be reviewed under the rules adopted in the governing jurisdiction. ABA Model Rule 7.2(b)(2) addresses usual charges of qualifying referral services; Rule 5.4(a)(4) addresses specified court-awarded fee sharing where adopted. FRCP 26(b)(4)(D) concerns discovery protection for qualifying non-testifying experts, subject to exceptions. These references do not establish blanket approval of an engagement.
