Just Liberty's Founder: Joshua M. Abrams
As the President & founder of Just Liberty Incorporated
Joshua's diverse background and steadfast commitment to justice and empowerment position him as a distinguished leader.

Joshua’s story is one of perseverance and resilience, transforming the impossible into a miracle. As a child, Joshua endured cruel abuse and neglect at the hands of his parents, necessitating intervention by the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS). Ultimately, a court deemed his parents unfit, stripping them of custody. At the age of 14, Joshua became a ward of the court and was placed in a group home within the foster care system. Here Josh was abandoned by his family, no support would be given again and he would age out homeless and desperate at age 18 relying on friends and couch surfing to survive. Joshua's high functioning autism and amazing ability to adapt and overcome allowed him to not just surive but thrive even against all odds and against all advesaties.

Joshua's firsthand experience with the criminal justice system exposed its failures, pitfalls, and shortcomings, not only in criminal proceedings but also in civil and other courts. Drawing on over 15 years in the IT field, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, entrepreneurial experience running an LLC, and a deep passion for justice and community service, Joshua channeled his skills into founding this nonprofit. It wasn’t that he was the only person capable of creating it, but he found himself uniquely positioned as someone who not only could act but would act.
Single-handedly, Joshua established this nonprofit, built its website from the ground up with full-stack development expertise, and launched platforms to support it. Alongside this, he has engaged in independent journalism, driven by a desire to give back in a way he believes matters most.
Joshua’s journey began over 12 years ago when he was falsely accused of rigging a $1 million scratch-off lottery ticket promotion, scapegoated by his employer and their casino clients. In 2012, he turned to a law library, immersing himself in legal texts—studying formatting, precedent, authority, and everything necessary to hold those responsible accountable. A decade later, Joshua has not only practiced law but mastered it. He has successfully filed over a dozen lawsuits across civil, family, federal, and superior courts, even winning an appeal in a higher court. Joshua even has pending cases in Federal District court fighting for constitutional liberties and fighting corruption and state over-reach and systemic failures.
Remarkably, he has never lost a case. His dedication to understanding and navigating these systems was born out of necessity after experiencing firsthand how existing organizations and legal aid groups let him fall through the cracks. Determined to ensure others wouldn’t suffer the same defeat and disenfranchisement when pursuing justice and their rights as citizens, Joshua took action.
This is why Joshua has harnessed his tech and development skills to create revolutionary platforms. His goal is to empower others who come after him—helping them avoid the mistakes he made and providing the resources and tools needed to navigate law and politics, the cornerstones of a functioning society. This is Joshua’s gift to the world. He seeks neither fame, recognition, nor money—only justice and liberty.
